Good morning – I have a few
reminders as we have crazy times coming up.
Wednesday – field trip to
Bass Pro/Slavehaven
The students may wear blue jeans or uniform bottoms with
their class t-shirt. Please be in the lobby around 9 if you are
driving. We will come down about 9:10 and leave about 9:20. We will
give directions to each place we will be going, a strict schedule we will
follow, and a menu of the items parents may choose from on the lunch menu at
Spaghetti Warehouse. Please make sure you spend your time wisely at Bass
Pro. This will be an exciting part of the field trip, but our time is
limited. We will have a tour of the facility. I am not sure how
long this will last, but we will only have an hour to spend here. Again,
make sure you spend your time wisely.

Parents,
Thank you for supporting this year’s Boosterthon Fun Run! We
are halfway through the program and the Boosterthon Fun Run event is quickly
approaching.
The students are having a blast learning about COMMUNITY through
the Rock’n Town Live theme! So far this week, we learned about how as a
community we must Plug In To Serve putting other’s needs in front of our own, and
we learned how important it is to AMPLIFY
OTHERS, because we have the power to make others stronger with our words.
Please remember to register your student on funrun.com. If
you register your child, they will receive a FREE GIFT the next school day!
Funrun.com also has all the music videos from each Community Challenge. Be sure
to check them out. They’re really good!
This weekend is a special challenge—the “Weekend Challenge.” Any
student who gets a $90 flat donation over the
weekend will receive the bonus reward the Bungee Rocket on
Monday. The students are super excited to rise to the challenge!
Thanks again for your help and supporting our class! Let’s work
together to finish strong and reach our goal as a team! I’ll see you at the
Boosterthon Fun Run event next week!
Have a great weekend!

Parents,
The Boosterthon Fun Run kicked
off today with a fun Pep Rally and I am super excited about this year’s
program. The Boosterthon Fun Run program involves all students in a fun, team
building, fitness event while helping our school raise much-needed funds.
The central focus of this year’s character program is COMMUNITY. This year’s
character theme is ROCK’N
TOWN LIVE, and the Boosterthon Team will take students on a
fun-filled journey teaching them the importance of building community with this
fun, music festival theme.
Through the
Boosterthon, our entire school is raising support to go toward new
technology at Northpoint.
This year our 5th grade classes will be participating in a Color Run for Boosterthon. The students can earn different prizes that go with the Color Run! We are excited!!!!!
Here’s
how you can help:
- REGISTER
YOUR STUDENT TO RUN -
Please register your child on funrun.com using our your student's class access code. Students must
have parent permission to be able to run in the Boosterthon Fun Run next
week! Students receive a FREE
GIFT just by having their parent or guardian register them
on funrun.com.
- GET
PLEDGES by connecting your student
with 10 sponsors. Funrun.com has many ways to use social media in the
pledging process and pay online. Be sure to capture and record the e-mail
address of each sponsor, as they will have an easy opportunity to pay for
your student’s pledge by credit card online.
- COME
TO THE BOOSTERTHON FUN RUN NEXT WEEK! Remember, students will be running 30-35 laps, and we
would love to have lots of support for our team!
Thank you for supporting our
classroom and our school!
I’ll see you next week at the
Boosterthon Fun Run!
Sincerely,

Parents,
You should be receiving a note in your child's Wednesday folder about Oregon Trail Day next Friday. The students can wear pioneer clothing and we need wagons! If you have a wagon, please bring it to school on Friday, March 6. This activity isn't the Oregon Trail without wagons!
Also, you have been assigned a lunch item for that day. If you are assigned hot dogs, please send one package of hot dogs in a bun wrapped in aluminum foil in a crockpot. If this is a problem, please let your teacher know. If you have been assigned water bottles, they do not need to be in a cooler. If you have been assigned chips, please bring at least 10 individual size chips bags.
If you have any other questions about Oregon Trail, please let Mrs. Ray know. Thank you so much for your help in making this learning experience fun!!!

Don't forget Move Up Morning tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. The 5th grade classes will "move up" to 6th grade for the morning to learn more about next year's teachers and curriculum. They will meet in the church fellowship hall. We hope you can make it a point to come check out the 6th grade at Northpoint Christian.
Friday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and is a school holiday.
In 5th grade do not have a "party" for Valentine's Day, but we exchange Valentines (if you choose to) and have a snack. Be on the lookout for information from your teacher about Valentine's Day festivities.
If you know of anyone interested in coming to Northpoint Christian, please spread the word that we will have an open house on Sunday, January 25.
